'I want'

It's a phrase I use so often, and one I'll never stop using. I always see things I want when I go shopping or when I'm 'browsing online', there's always something that really grabs my attention. This week I've found a few things, and seen as though my camera has died on me (well, the batteries), preventing me from uploading my New York posts, I decided I'd share with you some things which I'm considering buying at the moment.

Asos-£85
I'm in LOVE with dungaree dresses...I always have been if I'm honest. I really like the checks on this dress, it's a nice, simple design, and it looks quite summery.  I'd definitely wear it, so it's on my list ;)

Asos-£45.50-
I love this dress. It's so girly and pretty and it looks delicate, which I like. I love the colour, the style and the pattern...I just love it okay? ;) 'I WANT'!

Clutch-Drop Dead - £30
I've been wanting this for ages, and I can't hold on any longer! It's so cute and it'll fit a fair amount in, so it's perfect for a night out!

Drop dead-£10
They're so cheap, so why not?
Lovely colour, so why not?
and they're palm trees, so again, why not?
Let's just admit they're pretty cool, and that I'm not gonna say no to them. :P

There are some more things, but the more websites I go on, the more I'm finding ahaha!

What's on your wish list?

Caught my eye...

As always, I'm permanently looking for new blogs to follow and for more and more people who inspire me daily with their posts.
Here's a blog I found the other day, and I thought I'd share it with you.

http://www.jennafifi.com
This is such a great blog. I love reading Jenna's posts, they always inspire me, and I just find her life so interesting ahah! You should check her out because she'll no doubt put a smile on your face when you read her posts. I love the detailing she goes into, and I just really appreciate the effort she puts into her blog-you can tell Jenna takes her time to make everything look good and it's nice to see that. :)

Check it out!

New York: Part 2!

Apologies for the delay...these past few days haven't been the best-Bad news and lots of work =/
But I'm finally getting around to the second part of this, so I hope you all enjoy it.

After we'd done Hard rock cafe and indulged in some amazing food, a few of us went to Grand Central Station. It's a really nice place, really grand, and beautiful. All I could think of was the first Gossip Girl episode where Serena comes back to Manhatten and arrives there...amazing, I stood in the spot Blake Lively stood in ahah!
We also tested out the whispering walls..It works!!! If you are unaware of what this is then check this out http://www.sonicwonders.org/?p=426  It'll make sense then!

Stars 'n' stripes

Our second day in NY was amazing! We went to the Ney York Film Academy, where we were told what students do in each course, how they make films, and awards you can get. It was really good, I enjoyed it; and we had a tour inside the building where we were shown the editing suite-full of Apple Macs aha, and the rooms where they get all of the equipment and props.

A real American diner we spotted on the way to the Film Academy....I really wanted to go in, but we found another one!

En route the the Academy

Chairs!

The sign for the Academy.

After we'd been to the Academy, we headed to the Hot 97 radio station, where we were met by Sam, a really cool guy...seriously, he was ace ahah; and he gave us a great tour of the place and had some really inspirational things to say.
Here's Sam!

Sam lifting Nadia up ahah!

They were showing us how they make sounds and other things and the machines and computers used to make them.

After Hot 97 we headed to the Empire State Building, bought our tickets and had an amazing time looking at the view. WOW, it's amazing up there....but bear in mind, a hat and a hood is a necessity!

Amazing view!

:D

I did get some photos while it was dark, but I'll put them up in a general post when I've covered all of the days!

I'll be updating you on NY again over the next couple of days!

Has anyone been to NY?
thanks for reading,

New York: Part 1

Here's a post about New York...I've called it part one because I can't fit everything into one post, so there will probably be around three of them..I wanted to let you know all about it!

So, we left Hull and midnight on Monday 4th/Tuesday 5th February. We arrived at Heathrow Airport, looking half dead (literally, lack of sleep, thirst and hunger...) at around 04:30 in the morning. Checked in, and then had a couple of hours to ourselves. I took the time to buy a magazine for the plane (Empire-film geek :P), a breakfast bar and a bottle of water, and then a few of us looked around some shops before boarding the plane.
Now, I hate flying, so much but there were films to watch so it made it better. I watched 'Perks of being a wallflower' (really good film!), read Empire and tried to sleep...although by now excitement had taken over all our bodies and we couldn't sleep.
We arrived to a VERY cold -5 oc, sunny looking NEW YORK. It was amazing! I think everyone was in shock and amazement, and on the coach to our hotel, we sang Alicia Keys 'New York' ahahah.

We had an hour and half to ourselves to go and get food, so me, Jen, Autumn, Hollie and Becky hit McDonalds...it was so nice, and the coke was hugeeee, perfect for me! After this, we all went back, freshened up...I made my face look better with makeup (definitely needed) and we headed out to Times Square.
I spotted a Red Lobster there! (ignore the man ahah)

Random snap shot

Walking into Times Square!

Spotted: Wallgreens

Times Square is amazing. It was packed, but we loved everything about it, so we visited it a few more times. Definitely a must see!

NYPD...Nadia, Mel, Sarah and Jazz

Disney shop AND Forever 21....me and my friend Autumn were SO excited when we spotted them!!

After walking around for a bit, we all headed to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner...I had a bbq pulled pork sandwich with fries-it was gorgeous!

And then, we went back to the hotel and collapsed on our beds ahah!
I'll post about the next two days tomorrow!

Hope you enjoyed reading :')

Oops...

Apologies for the lack of New York posts I said I would do. Don't worry, I am doing them, but there is so much to say and I want to make sure everything is included. I have been coming up with ideas for the next few posts, and they should be quite good!
I have been busy getting into my normal routine, and then valentines day came so my boyfriend was at mine and he stayed over, so I spent yesterday with him as well; so I've been really busy! Tonight I'm at a meal for one of my friend's 18th and then my best friend was 18 the other day, so we're doing pre-drinks at hers and then hitting Spiders (one of the best places for a night out in Hull!) and planning on becoming drunken messes and having a great night! aha!
This means tonight I can't do a post, however, worry not-tomorrow one of the NY posts will be up. I hope you enjoy reading it.

What did you do for Valentines day?

Thank you for reading!

Home Sweet Home!

Hey everybody!
so, I'm back home, in good old Hull after been away almost a week in New York. WOW, it was soooo good!
I loved it there, however, I'm a Yorkshire girl at heart, so I did really miss home and by the fourth day I wanted nothing more than to see my family and sleep in my own bed! However, it was something I'm glad I did, and I'd go back there with my family anytime.
It's so breathtaking, and the views are fantastic. I literally couldn't believe I was there until the third day (it's unbelievable!)
We did so many things, so I'm just going to quickly mention them for now, I will do a better post in the next few days including pictures and more details. So, we went to Times Square (really busy), Empire State Bulding (great views!), IMAX cinema to see The Hobbit; Shopping shopping shopping; NBC studio tour (Justin Bieber was in the same building as I was...just saying ;P); Hot 97 radio tour; Brooklyn Bridge and some other things. Unfortunately, I couldn't go to the Statue of Liberty as Staten Island is closed for two years due to Hurricane Sandy (GUTTED). I really enjoyed everything, but one of the best things was visiting the World Trade Centre and the 9/11 memorial site. It's strange being there, I couldn't really believe that I was stood there. There are the names of everyone they know who died engraved around the side of the pools and I just stood and thought about how awful that day must have been. It's quite emotional, but all part of the NYC experience I think.

I know I've crammed a lot into this post, but I will explain in more detail over the next few days, and post some of my pictures (I went snap happy over there ;) ) and I'll show you my NYC experiences!

I hope you've all had a great week!
What are you all planning to do over the holiday?

Thanks for reading

F.Y.I

Short, snappy post here!
So, on Monday I'm going to be leaving my home in Hull for a few days, and heading down to Heathrow airport where I'll be catching a flight to...NEW YORK!!!! aaaaah eipfheofn, SO excited!
This is part of a Film and Media trip with college, and I cannot wait to go. I'm so excited for everything we'll be doing, visiting NBC, going to radio stations, cinema, Film museums....and SHOPPING.
I'll be taking part in many activities, and everyday we have the chance of some free time, such as choosing where we eat every night-which is great because me and my friends want to eat at Hard rock cafe, Planet Hollywood (so nice) and Bubba gumps(the coconut shrimp has my name on it!), so that should be great.
I'll be seeing the Statue of Liberty, Empire state building and ground Zero, and this will be so interesting, looking forward to it.
and the shopping. Yes then. I can't wait to stroll down 5th avenue, pick up some pieces from Victoria's Secret and so many other places. It's going to be amazing.
I just thought I'd let you know, because you might wonder why I wont be posting anything...don't worry, I'll have SO much to blog about when I get back. I can't wait to share with you what I've bought and what it was like there.

Have you been to NY? would you like to go?

Goodbye for now (unless I post tomorrow :P )
Have a great week!
Channy xoxo
